Zegna Group’s women’s brand AGNONA opens first pop up store in the U.S.
The appointment of Stefano Pilati, formerly at Yves Saint Laurent, earlier this year, as Creative Director of Agnona, signalled Zegna Group’s intentions to revive the dormant women’s wear and accessories the brand. The family owned Ermenegildo Zegna Group which is known mainly for its men’s apparel and accessories, spread over 3 lines – Ermenegildo Zegna (first line, Z Zegna, Zegna Sport, acquired Agnona in 1999, the Agnona house having been founded in 1953.
Paying homage to Miami Art Basel fair, Zegna Group opened this week, the first pop up store of the Agnona brand in Miami. The Zegna family chose an image of the historic house of Trivero created by Mimmo Jodice who photographed a detail of the fountain designed in 1940 by Otto Maraini. The evocative image is on display in the boutique, and a giant poster covers the entire store facade.
Agnona currently operates 3 mono-brand boutiques and one corner in Europe, one store in the U.S., 5 stores in China and 2 in the Middle East.
