Vionnet to open flagship store in Paris, following its first catwalk after 75 years
French couture house of Vionnet which is owned by Kazakhstani-born Goga Ashkenazi, has announced the opening of a flagship store in Paris this year, the company evaluating several prime locations. In an interview to MF Fashion, Ms Ashkenazi confirmed Vionnet has been growing at a 50% pace, estimating the break-even point for 2014. On March 6th, Vionnet returns to Paris Fashion Week with its first catwalk show in 75 years. Goga Ashkenazi has been often linked to Timur Kulibayev, son-in-law of Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev. Kulibayev is considered the second richest man in Kazakhstan.
