Vera Wang to open in Shanghai its first store in China
American luxury house of Vera Wang known for its bridal collections is set to open its first store in China, early next year, in Shanghai. The opening of the new store will be operated in franchising, with a local company. Ahead of its upcoming store opening, Vera Wang staged its Fall Winter 2012 catwalk show at the Shanghai Fashion Week, the first such presence by the brand in China.
The new Vera Wang store in Shanghai will be located at 245 Madang Road and will cover two levels at a total surface of 4,752 square feet. Shanghai store will have three bridal lounges and a VIP suite with a separate entrance from the parking garage. “The store will be designed with a glass facade with blackened steel accents, polished concrete floors, dark walls, and timber veneer walls,” reports WWD.
