Valentino to open men’s only stores
With the occasion of its first menswear catwalk show as part of the official calendar of Paris Fashion Week, Italian luxury house of Valentino announced the opening of men’s dedicated stores, the first such flagship store being planned for Paris. The house of Valentino has always had an heritage connection to Paris, with its lavish creative studios being located in the prestigious Place Vendome.
Since its acquisition last year by Mayhoola, an investment entity controlled by Qatar’s First Lady, Sheikha Mozah, Valentino is pursuing an aggressive international expansion with mono-brand stores dedicated both to its first line as well as its diffusion line, Red Valentino. Some of the flagship stores of the house, including the one on Milan’s Via Montenapoleone have undergone an ample redesign, with American architect David Chipperfield in charge.
