Vacheron Constantin, IWC, and Panerai open in Toronto at the Yorkdale Shopping Centre

After introducing e-commerce in the US, the Swiss luxury watch manufacturer IWC (Richemont Group) continues to expand its retail network in North America, opening in Toronto. The new Toronto boutique at the Yorkdale Shopping Centre is IWC’s first in Canada, and seventh in North America following two in Miami, and one in New York City, Las Vegas, Beverly Hills and Costa Mesa.

For Vacheron Constantin, it is also the first Canadian boutique, and Leslie Kobrin, the brand’s president of the Americas, says the goal is “to enhance our Canadian client’s understanding of Vacheron Constantin, our heritage, and our commitment to excellence in high watchmaking.The 700-sq.-ft. store will carry the brand’s entire range of watches, as well as boutique-exclusive models, including the Ateliers Cabinotiers service, a highly exclusive bespoke service that allows the client to entirely customize his or her timepiece through a collaboration with Vacheron Constantin.

As for the Panerai boutique which was designed by Patricia Urquiola, it is themed to reflect the brand’s nautical heritage and distinctive style, with a large, highly luminated signature dial on one wall, a porthole-style showcase and comfortable seating areas.
