Unilever enters luxury skincare sector with Ioma
Mass market cosmetics group Unilever has recently acquired a majority stake in French luxury skincare brand Ioma, founded in 2010 by Jean-Michel Karam. Ioma is already distributed at 1.000 doors, including specialist retailer Marionnaud. Last year, Ioma registered sales of over 20 million euros. Jean-Michel Karam and ex Thierry Mugler executive Véra Strubi maintain a minority stake in the company.
