The Westbury and The Wellesley to join the Luxury Collection

Marriott International has announced two London properties are joining its Luxury Collection. The Westbury in Mayfair is scheduled to join the brand in the spring following a renovation project, and The Wellesley in Knightsbridge will be rebranded in the first half of 2017.

The hotels will join two existing Luxury Collection properties in the UK – The Park Tower Knightsbridge, a Luxury Collection Hotel, and the Trump Turnberry, a Luxury Collection Resort.

Other additions to Luxury Collection include:

  • Hotel de Berri, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Paris – a new hotel housed within a former office building in the 8th arrondissement of Paris, scheduled to open in early 2018.
  • Cristallo, a Luxury Collection Resort & Spa, Cortina – located in the UNESCO Natural World Heritage Site of Cortina, close to the main shopping street and the Faloria ski lift which connects guests to the Dolimiti Superski area. The property is scheduled to join the brand after the winter season.
  • The Alexander, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Yerevan (pictured above) – a new-build hotel located close to the city’s Republic Square, scheduled to open in autumn 2017.

Commenting on the signings Mitzi Gaskins, Global Brand Leader, The Luxury Collection said:

“Our goal is to open 12 Luxury Collection hotels globally by the end of 2017, and with these five additions in Europe, we are well on track.”

Marriott recently announced plans to open 28 luxury hotels in 2017, across its St Regis, The Luxury Collection, W Hotels, The Ritz-Carlton, Bulgari Hotels and Resorts, Edition and JW Marriott brands.
