The Waldorf Astoria to open in Beverly Hills
The Waldorf Astoria Beverly Hills is being developed by Beny Alagem who also owns The Beverly Hilton. The investment in the 12-story, 170-room Waldorf Astoria Beverly Hills is estimated at US$ 200 million. ”We are steps away from Rodeo Drive. This is “Ground Zero” for luxury,” said John T.A. Vanderslice, Waldorf Astoria’s Global Brand Head. “And the fact that we are opening a Waldorf Astoria in here is out of this world.”
The Waldorf Astoria Beverly Hills has commissioned famed French interior designer Pierre-Yves Rochon, to design the hotel with a contemporary Art Deco look that complements the architecture of the Beverly Hilton. Some of the other unique features of the Waldorf Astoria Beverly Hills include: the largest rooftop pool deck in Beverly Hills, a 5,000 square-foot Waldorf Astoria Spa and a Michelin starred Chef restaurant. Construction is set to begin this year, with the hotel estimated to open 2017.
