The Langham London opens The Wigmore pub

The Langham London has recently opened its new “modern British tavern”, the Wigmore. Described as a “deluxe reimagining of the Great British pub”, the venue will have its own entrance on Regent Street. Once a banking hall, the space has been designed by Martin Brudnizki.

The drinks list has been created by the luxury hotel’s award-winning Artesian bar, and will include craft beers such as the house “Saison”, a partnership with Bermondsey’s Brew by Numbers, as well as wines, ales, punch, “hoptails” and classic London cocktails.

The food menu has been overseen by Michel Roux Jr, who also runs the property’s Roux at the Landau with his father, Albert. The “hearty British fare” on offer will include ox cheek and ale suet crust pie, and paprika-glazed short rib with bone marrow and thyme crust. Snacks such as masala-spice Scotch egg with dahl relish will also be available.
