Spanish luxury house LOEWE doubles production

Following exceptional two digit growth in all markets, Spanish luxury leatherwear brand LOEWE, owned since 1996 by LVMH, announced it will double capacity in its production facility in Getafe, Spain. Loewe has been in touch with regional authorities from Madrid to develop a training centre for craftsmen in leather manufacturing.

With the new increase in production, Loewe will cover 30% of its entire output, from 20% at present. The rest is outsourced to specialized leather manucturers in Barcelona, Galicia and Cadiz, under strict quality control . Loewe was founded in 1846 and has maintained its reputation thanks to its exceptional quality of leather and craftsmanship. The Spanish brands currently operates 125 stores in 40 countries, Japan and China being its largest foreign markets.
