Spanish chain Meliá open luxury flagship hotel in Rome

After 8 years of construction works and archaeological problems which have been delaying the project, Spanish hotel chain Meliá Hotels International is scheduled to inaugurate the Grand Meliá Rome. The new hotel, which is positioned by Melia as a luxury urban resort,comes not only with an exceptional location on Via del Gianicolo, facing the Vatican walls, with views to St. Peter’s Basilica, but also with a unique luxury hospitality offering for the busy metropolis of Rome: two swimming pools and a eco-friendly facility.

The Grand Meliá Rome Hotel which will be inaugurated December 21st, will feature 116 rooms of which 39 suites. The hotel features an exclusive service called RedLevel with an array of personalised and luxurious services dedicated to adults only (over18). RedLevel benefits include: access to an exclusive open bar, the Red Level Lounge, bathroom amenities by Clarins, library, in-room aromatherapy, access to private swimming pool with Pool Concierge, butler service, personalized minibar menu etc.

Company management expects the Gran Meliá Rome to set itself apart from its competitors in the market by offering extra amenities and space. Meliá will manage the property under a lease contract.
