SLOVENIAs luxury leisure hotels performing well despite crisis

Occupancy rates at most luxury hotels in the leading Slovenian resorts of PORTO ROZ and BLED have been above expectations since May 2009, with a peak predicted end of July. Average occupancy rates have been at 60-65 %, considering luxury hotels in neighbouring Hungary or Croatia have been underperforming due to the current crisis. Rates at luxury Slovenian hotels remain highest in the region, for instance the rates at newly re-opened Kempinski Palace Porto Roz start at EUR 200 per room per night, while Grand Hotel Toplice in Bled features a minimal rate of EUR 190 during the summer season.
Kempinski Porto Roz has recently reopened following an impressive renovation and redesign, becoming one of the best Kempinski resort hotels in the world. The Rose SPA of the hotel uses therapies which include rose petals and flowers.
