SHANGRI LA expand in India
Hong Kong based luxury hotel chain Shangri La is expanding in India with a new Traders Hotel announced for the city of Chennai. Shangri-La will be operating Traders Hotel in Chennai under a new management contract with Riverside Infrastructure (India) Pvt. Ltd., a subsidiary of MARG, the owners of the hotel. The Traders Chennai is due to open during the second half of 2012.
The brand new luxury hotel’s address in Chennai will be in the heart of old Mahabalipuram road as well as will be ornamented with 246 fully furnished rooms, four pleasurable & dining restaurants, meetings & banquets facilities, health spa club and other flamboyant amenities which represents the brand of Shangri-La Group.
Shangri-La already which already operate a hotel in the Indian capital of New Delhi will open a second Shangri-La branded property in Mumbai, scheduled early 2012. The 412 room Shangri-La Mumbai is located in High Street Phoenix, Mumbai’s largest shopping and entertainment complex, the Palladium Mall. Louis Vuitton and Gucci are among the brands which have confirmed opening stores at the new extension of the Palladium Mall, on the groundfloor of the Shangri-La Mumbai Hotel.
