Regent Hotels announces four new hotels in Asia

Regent Hotels & Resorts will expand its footprint in four of Asia in the coming years, with three new luxury properties slated for China over the next two years and one in Jakarta, Indonesia. Each property will follow the luxury brand’s tradition of offering authentic and distinctive experiences for travelers, with each destination’s traditions and culture infused throughout the hotel, reflected in design elements, food and beverage programs and amenities.

Regent Chongqing – Chongqing, China

Scheduled to open in early October 2016, Regent Chongqing will offer plush accommodations in the sprawling municipality and economic center of Southwest China, Chongqing. Designed for the upscale business traveler, the property will feature 181 rooms and 21 suites, a deluxe business center, as well as a grand ballroom and five function/meeting spaces.

Regent Place Xian – Xi’an, China

Regent Place Xian will debut in 2017 in Xi’an, China, one of the country’s oldest cities, rich with more than 3,100 years of history and once the capital of China under eleven dynasties. Xi’an’s culture and heritage will play an influential role in the design of the upscale hotel and its 141 rooms and 15 suites. The contemporary interiors will feature ceramic pieces of art evocative of Xi’an’s Terracotta warriors, as well as stunningly intricate metalwork recalling the immaculate detailing of traditional Chinese headpieces worn during the Imperial Dynasty.

Regent Place Harbin – Harbin, China

Launching in 2017, Regent Harbin will boast 250 rooms and 34 suites. The hotel will be situated in the commercial, business and exhibition area of Harbin, one of northeast China’s major cities and often referred to as the “Oriental Paris” for its mix of Western and Chinese cultures, with design reflecting the city’s renowned Gothic, Baroque and Byzantine architecture.

Regent Jakarta – Jakarta, Indonesia

In collaboration with award-winning developer KG Global Development, Regent will launch Regent Jakarta, a luxury hotel and residential project set to open in early 2018. Nestled in the heart of Indonesia’s vibrant capital city, the new mixed-use property will attract a mix of domestic and international travelers with a hotel featuring 54 rooms and 72 suites. The structure will also house 87 Regent residences.
