Italian luxury group Brunello Cucinelli reports an increase of 16.5% in sales for the first 6 months of 2013 to a total of 157,6 million euros, with U.S. generating 32,3% increase followed by Europe + 24,6% and Greater China +16%. In Greater China, the company has been focusing on directly operated retail with a total of 18 mono-brand stores to date, of which 12 directly operated. The Italian market registered a turnover of 36 million euros for the first half of 2013, in line with expectations, having converted 9 boutiques in Italy from wholesale to directly operated mono-brand stores.
