Prada’s upcoming mega-store in Milan will be even larger, exceding 5.500 sqm
After having secured 4.300 sqm in Milan’s Galeria Vittorio Emanuele (former space occupied by McDonald’s), Prada has leased, earlier this week, an additional 720 sqm. Prada is reported to be targeting the Feltrinelli bookshop situated at the Galleria’s exit towards Teatro alla Scalla, space which was also disputed by Versace. This additional space could be dedicated to Fondazione Prada, for a cultural project.
Galleria is home to Prada’s first store in its history, which remains operational. The first phase of the expansion with the new super sized store, will be a Prada store dedicated to men, covering approximately 2.000 sqm, and due to open November.
