Peninsula Hotel Paris unveils rooms, ahead of August 2014 opening

The extensive six year restoration of the former Hotel Majestic, a 1908 Beaux Arts building in the 16th arrondissement takes shape as The Peninsula Paris which will open this August. The hotel will feature 200 ultra luxury rooms of which 45 suites, three of which are themed (The Historic Suite, The Katara Suite and The Peninsula Suite) and five boasting 360 degree views of Paris from their own private roof gardens.

The Parisian outpost will feature a Peninsula Spa with 22-meter heated indoor swimming pool, a Chinese restaurant named LiLi, a grand lobby serving food all day, an eight-seat cigar lounge, 100-seat terrace, and L’Oiseau Blanc rooftop restaurant, bar and terrace serving contemporary French cuisine. It will also be the only downtown luxury Paris hotel with a grand drive-through entrance for cars.

The Peninsula Paris is co-owned by Qatar’s Katara Hospitality and The Hong Kong and Shanghai Hotels, Limited, which operates The Peninsula Hotels.
