Hyatt Hotels Corporation has opened the Park Hyatt Busan in South Korea. Following the opening of Park Hyatt Seoul, the hotel marks the tenth Park Hyatt property in Asia Pacific and the second Park Hyatt hotel in South Korea.
Inspired by Busan and its ocean views, New York-based architect Daniel Libeskind designed a curved building representing not only ocean waves, but also the camellia—a symbolic flower of the city. The interior of the 269-room hotel was designed by Japanese design firm Super Potato. Nature-friendly materials—such as hardwood and natural stone—offer a residential style.
Food & Beverage amenities at the new Park Hyatt Busan include the Dining room—an open kitchen and sushi bar—as well as the Living room, the Lounge, and Patisserie. Occupying three floors, are the fitness center, Lumi Spa boasting seven treatment rooms filled with natural light, and an indoor swimming pool, which is built on 65-foot-wide granite stones.
