Paris, an exclusive tour of the most authenthic hot spots
Together with the Concierge of Le Royal Monceau Raffles, CPP-LUXURY.COM has recently compiled a guide of some of the most authentic and exclusive hot spots in Paris, an ”off the beaten track” selection:
Lachavme - maitre florist since 1845; its boutique on Rue St Honore is a lavish garden with the most unexpected and ingenious arrangements
Rosebud Fleuristes - set up in 2010 is considered one of the most trendy florists in Paris, with a style defined by simplicity
Hugo & Victor - haute patisserie, with a boutique resembling a jewellery store. The brand is defined by three elements: freshness, low sugar, and constant aim for quality. Hugo & Victor has its own plantations of combawa (a rare citrus fruit) and verbena.
L’Eclair de génie – the eclaire specialist patissier (Christophe Adam) with a unique ‘concept store’ in the Marais district
Pep’s Umbrellas – an authentic umbrella repair shop, but you can have one custom made (223, Rue St Marin, Passage de l’Ancre)
Parapluies Simon - one of the very few remaining umbrella makers; since 1897 the Simon family has been manufacturing and designing umbrellas of the finest quality, for women and men.
Gabriel Geppert – Paris’ leading vintage store, carrying exclusive original pieces of iconic brands such as Dior, Chanel, Saint Laurent, Emilio Pucci. Most of the pieces are hand selected and ‘hunted’ by the shop owner at auctions, antiquaires etc.
Azzedine Alaia - one of the most sought after fashion designers of the century, never part of the fashion week calendars but always followed by the most sophisticated clientele. The house is opening a second flagship store at the end of this year.
Corthay – independent bespoke men’s shoemaker of ‘supreme’ quality, inherently Parisian, with designer Pierre Corthay awareded ‘Maitre d’Art’ by French Culture Ministry – the only men’s bootmaker to have ever received this distinction
