Over a quarter of retailers visiting Milan Fashion Week came from the East
The recently held Milan Fashion Week was attended by over 8400 retailers (buyers, retail professionals) of which 23,9% were foreigners from 73 different countries. The largest delegations came from China, Russia, Hong Kong, Azerbaijan, Poland, Ukraine and Kazakhstan. Visitors attended most of the 210 catwalk shows which were part of the official calendar. The organizers estimate an overall 22% increased in traffic compared with the same period last year.
With the occasion of the Milan Fashion Week, the GIORGIO ARMANI Museum has been confirmed, the estimated opening being schedule for September 2011. The museum will include over 20 iconic Armani gowns and outifts created throughout his career.
