OMEGA House to open in Rio de Janeiro during the Olympics
Luxury watchmaker OMEGA has unveiled the OMEGA House, designed specifically for the upcoming Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro. The maison, the official timekeeper for the 2016 Games, first introduced the concept of the OMEGA House during the 2012 Olympics in London and the success of the initiative has led the brand to create a similar platform this year.
Located at Casa de Cultura Laura Alvim on Ipanema Beach, the exclusive OMEGA House is by invite-only and offers a unique way to experience the Games. The interior features specially curated rooms that will allow visitors to discover the art of timekeeping, the evolution of the brand as well as OMEGA’s long affiliation with the Olympics. In addition, a select few will be offered the opportunity to take up residence within the House for the duration of the Games. A number of OMEGA brand ambassadors who are participating in the Games are also expected to make appearances at the House.
The OMEGA House is open from 11 am until 1am from August 7-21, 2016.
