Omega expands in Brazil and the U.S.

Swiss luxury watchmaker OMEGA (owned by the Swatch Group) is preparing to open this Spring three new mono-brand boutiques in Brazil in Rio de Janeiro and Sao Paulo. In the U.S., Omega plans to open mono-brand boutiques in Los Angeles and New York, currently Omega operating 27 stand alone boutiques in the U.S. Omega’s objective for the U.S.  in 2013 is to reach 30 stand alone boutiques.

Omega’s aims to surpass Rolex, driven not only by its higher capacity production capabilities but also by international expansion with mono-brand boutiques, in countries as diverse as South Africa (Omega opened 2 months ago) or Indonesia, with directly operated stores.
