Officine Panerai introduces new entry level ‘Luminor Marina 8 Days’ with manual wind
Luxury watchmaker Officine Panerai (Richemont Group) introduces Luminor Marina 8 Days and Luminor Marina 8 Days Oro Rosso – a new entry level 8-days manual Wind Movement – Caliber P.5000. The new movement, calibre P.5000, is a manually wound movement with 8 days of power reserve, which will be positioned as most affordable in-house movement, with a price level similar to the Unitas-based movements – $ 5.000 for the basic version and $20.000 for the rose gold version.
The long running time is achieved by two spring barrels connected in series which store the power reserve of eight days. The twin assembly enables longer, thinner springs to be used, resulting in a longer duration and greater uniformity in delivering energy to the movement.
