New luxury store openings in Istanbul
Following the recent opening of the second Hermes store in Istanbul at İstinye Park Mall at (the first one having been operating in the Nisantasi area), more international luxury brands have planned store openings in Istanbul this Spring. Among the brands are Chanel, which will double its retail space at İstinyePark Mall , Vacheron Constantin opens this week its first mono-brand boutique in Istanbul in the Nisantasi district and Hublot is due to open its first mono-brand boutique in Istanbul, also within the İstinye Park Mall, later this Spring.
In addition to the Godiva chocolaterie and cafe opened last year, Laduree is expected to open this Spring its first boutique and cafe also at İstinye Park Mall. Luxury department store Harvey Nichols is opening its second location in Istanbul at the end of this year, within the Nisantasi District, within a newly built complex developed by Demsa Group which are the licensee of Harvey Nichols in Turkey. The first Harvey Nichols store in Istanbul has been operating in the Canyon Mall. Both stores are operated in franchising.
Michael Kors has already opened two stores in Istanbul and is planning for a third one later this year. Some of the luxury fashion houses operating in Turkey have been switching to direct operation, the trend being pursued this year too.
