New luxury multi-brand store ‘Il Bacio di Stile’ opens in Budapest this summer
Situated within a historical palace building on Andrassy Ut, the leading upmarket shopping street in Budapest, Il Bacio di Stile is conceived as a luxury deparment stores spread over 6.000 sqm and featuring retail, a bar lounge and a restaurant. The project is developed by Gyorgy Zoltan Gattyan and Magyari Tamas and is estimated to cost 30 million euros upon completition. The architectural works have been signed by Italian design studio Beretta Associati. The store is split over 4 floors, the top one being reserved to the Sky Bar and Restaurant. The retail areas will overlook an inner atrium and will be split by casual, formal, sports. Il Bacio di Stile will carry over 40 luxury brands such as Giorgio Armani, Bottega Veneta, Tod’s, Brunello Cucinelli, Salvatore Ferragamo, Brioni.
The project has been under development for 3 years, especially because of the restoration and renovation works of the historial building. Unfortunately, the opening could not come at a worse time, given the difficult economic conditions of Hungary but mostly the sharp drop in foreign wealthy tourists who used to make up 70% of luxury sales.
