New $800m Dubai Mall, MAF City Centre to include luxury wing
The project, first flagged last year as part of a broader AED3bn ($816m) investment plan for the emirate, will be built in phases, starting with the AED275m, 300,000 sqft first phase to be finished in 2015.
MAF Properties CEO George Kostas said on Monday the development, to be located near the intersection of Al Khail Road and Sheikh Mohammad bin Zayed Road, underscored demand for “quality retail space” in Dubai. Phase one will serve the three growing residential areas of Victory Heights, Jumeirah Golf Estates and Jumeirah village.
MAF also operates in Dubai the Mall of the Emirates, having recently announced a major expansion plan.
