Moncler first half year sales jump 19%
Moncler ended the first half of 2014 with revenues of € 218.3 million, an increase of 19% compared to the first half of 2013, while net profit more than doubled from € 8.3 million to € 18.1 million. The most striking growth was achieved in the area that encompasses Asia and rest of the world (+ 38% to 66.6 million), which has thus reached an incidence of approximately 30% of total revenues, followed by the Americas (+28 % to 21.6 million).
Retail sales increased 28% to 121.9 million euros, while wholesale grew 9% to 96.4 million euros. By June 30, Moncler’s retail network counted 141 mono-brand stores, including 114 directly operated stores and 27 wholesale outlets (shop-in-shop).
