Moncler files for IPO on Milan Stock Exchange
Italian-French luxury house Moncler announced this week that it had applied to go public on the Milan Stock Exchange, becoming the latest fashion company to pursue a stock listing (other luxury companies which went public recently Michael Kors, Prada and Brunello Cucinelli.
In recent years, Moncler has diversified from its classic main line, adding separate high-end collections designed by the likes of Thom Browne and Giambattista Valli. Last year, the company had sales of 489.2 million euros ($663.7 million) and 161.5 million euros in earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization, or Ebitda. It currently runs 122 stores as well.
