Minor Hotels buys major stake in UK’s Corbin & King

Minor Hotels the parent company of Anantara acquired a significant stake in UK-based hospitality group Corbin & King. Together, the companies will expand Corbin & King’s portfolio across the UK and internationally.

Corbin & King’s portfolio with 11 restaurants and the 73-key The Beaumont Hotel in London will be added to Minor Hotels’ inventory of 157 hotels and resorts. Minor Hotels will now own the restaurants The Wolseley and Brasserie Zédel in Piccadilly, The Delaunay in Aldwych, Colbert in Sloane Square, Fischer’s in Marylebone and Bellanger in Islington.

Minor Hotels’ investment replaces a previous shareholding by Graphite Capital. Jeremy King and Chris Corbin—the founders of the group in 2003—will continue as shareholders while King remains CEO.
