Milan defies crisis with 7 new luxury boutique openings

This week, HERMES has reopened its boutique in Milan following a multi-million euro investment. The CEO of Hermes, Mr Patrick Thomas confirms that Italy is Hermes’s second most important market after France. Top luxury jeweller VAN CLEEF ARPELS also opens this week a monobrand boutique in Milan.

Also this week, PRADA opens an exceptional store in Milan’s Corso Venezia. The store will not only have a unique design but it will also be catered towards personal branding of various collection items. The new Milan store will feature limited edition products.

This month, TRUSSARDI will open in Milan its concept store Trussardi 1911, while M MISSONI opens its first mono brand in Milan on Corso Venezia. Also, on Corso Venezia, Naomi Campbell and Claudia Schiffer are officially opening the new D&G store.

Judging by the number of store openings, it would seem the current economic crisis is approaching an end, yet still many brands are cautious to talk about an important recovery this winter holiday season.
