Max Mara reopens iconic flagship store in Rome

Following extensive refurbishment, Max Mara reopened this month its flagship store in Rome, on Via Condotti. To mark the inauguration of the new store concept, Max Mara hosted an evening cocktail at Palazzo Torlonia and organized private tours of some of Rome’s landmark sites such as the Sistine Chapel.

The renovated Max Mara store in Rome covers 800 square meters  on one level and feature all the lines of the house – Sportmax, S Max Mara and Weekend. The store in Rome is  the first store concept of Max Mara to feature a room dedicated entirely to shoes.

Luigi Maramotti, CEO of Max Mara targets a 25% sales increase at the new store, confident that Rome is a destination which will not lose its attractiveness. He also confirmed the company expects growth in 2012. Max Mara has 2.334 boutiques in 100 countries and plans futher expansion in the UK, Australia and China.
