Major management shake ups at Mandarin Oriental properties in the U.S.

Following the departure of Rudy Tauscher Regional Vice President and General Manager of Mandarin Oriental New York, Rajesh Jhingon, General Manager of Mandarin Oriental, Las Vegas also left the group this Summer. Cliff Atkinson joins Mandarin Oriental, Las Vegas from the Group’s property in San Francisco, where he served as General Manager. A replacement is yet to be announced for Mandarin Oriental, San Francisco

The resignation of Rudy Tauscher in May this year, came as a surprise, considering New York has been Mandarin Oriental’s most successful U.S. property, known also as the flagship of the Asian chain in the U.S.. Tauscher was instrumental for the development of the Mandarin Oriental hotels in the U.S. Rudy Tauscher was replaced by Jan Goessing, until recently General Manager of the Mandarin Oriental Bangkok. He also served as General Manager of the (former) Kahala Mandarin Oriental and the Mandarin Oriental Washington, D.C.

Mandarin Oriental, Washington also has a new General Manager since this moth - Adriaan Radder, formerly at The Ballantyne Hotel (Luxury Collection by Starwood) in North Carolina, where he served as General Manager. Adriaan Radder replaces Amanda Hyndman who had appointed General Manager of Mandarin Oriental, Bagkok in June.

In August, Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group announced six internal General Manager switch appointments in Taipei, Singapore, Tokyo, Hong Kong, Chiang Mai and Jakarta.

Oriental Suite, Mandarin Oriental New York
