”Made in Italy” scores success in Brussels

In an interview to Italian media, Paolo Zegna, President of Confindustria, the Italian textile and clothing association, has expressed his content to the success of the ”Made In Italy” programme which has become law being voted by a large majority in the Italian Parliament. Mr Zegna also added that the law is now passing to its next stage in Brussels and later to be introduced in all EU countries. The new Italian law provides very strict and harsh provisions on the origin of the apparel and accessories made in Italy. Strict customs controls as well as random searches will provide an excellent tool for authorities to even block imports on doubtful documentation.
