LVMH acquires stake in JW Anderson and appoints him Creative Director of LOEWE

World’s largest luxury conglomerate LVMH announced today it has acquired a minority stake in the house of British designer JW Anderson, and at the same time appointed him Creative Director of Spanish luxury brand LOEWE which it owns fully, replacing Stuart Vevers, recently hired by Coach.

Anderson follows Nicholas Kirkwood and Joseph Altuzzara who have both joined LVMH in recent weeks. Anderson’s fellow Versus alumni, Christopher Kane, sold a stake to LVMH’s main competitor, Kering Group (owner of Gucci and Bottega Veneta), earlier this year.
