Luxury hotel featuring world’s first indoor rain forest to open in Dubai

Dubai will soon be home to the world’s first hotel to have its own rainforest. The Rosemont Hotel & Residence Dubai will feature: an outdoor rainforest, a beach, a stream, trees, an adventure play area for children, a bowling alley, a trampoline, a splash pool, a sky pool, restaurants, health club, 280-unit serviced apartments and 450 hotel rooms.

Operated under Hilton’s Curio brand, the $550 million project is a dual-tower development that will cover 13,000 sq ft. it will be located on Sheikh Zayed Road, near Barsha Heights – literally bang middle of the famed highway stretch. The development, designed by ZAS architect is currently under construction with the hotel estimated to open in Q3 of 2019. Each tower will have 53 storeys, with the rainforest coming as a pedestal on level five.

There will be a 75,000 sq ft man-made outdoor rainforest and will include a splash pool man-made beach (without waves) and trees. It will be like a trip into Amazon being in Dubai – like a simulator. Guests will be able to “experience a fully-immersive experience seeing flora and fauna from ground to the canopy”. The air will be “misted using a sensory system” simulating the “sensation of being surrounded by rainfall without actually getting wet.”

There will robotic luggage handlers! There will also be the spa, restaurants, health club, as well as an onsite theatre. The bowling alley and skydiving antics are done via a simulator.
