Luxury car launches expected at 2014 Geneva Motor Show

Jeep Grand Cherokee 2014 will be officially unveiled at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show is the first Euro-only diesel version of the Cherokee. Cherokee Diesel models with Chrysler’s nine-speed automatic get 170 horsepower, while the six-speed manual comes with a 140-hp version.

Audi unveils the RS 4 Nogaro,  a special edition commemorating the 20th anniversary of the RS 2 Avant, Audi’s first “RS” performance model. The RS 2 Avant had a 2.2-liter turbocharged five-cylinder engine, which produced 315 horsepower and 302 pound-feet of torque. Assembled at Porsche’s Rossle-Zau plant in Zuffenhausen, Germany the RS 4 Avant has a naturally-aspirated 4.2-liter V8, good for 459 hp and 317 lb-ft. It will do 0 to 60 mph in 4.7 seconds and reach a top speed of 174 mp.

Mercedes-Benz will unveil at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show the new  S-Class Coupe – S65 AMG Variant Imminent. Set to be available in an array of variants, the Mercedes-Benz S-Class Coupe is set to come standard with a seven-speed 7G Tronic Plus transmission. This gearbox will then be mated to one of the various engines set to be available powering either the rear wheels or all four wheels via the Mercedes-Benz 4MATIC system. It is currently believed that both S 63 AMG and S 65 AMG variants will be available in both rear wheel and all-wheel drive configurations depending on the country sold.

BMW is due to unveil its new BMW X3 series at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show. The new BMW  X3 features the company’s latest generation turbodiesel engines, the most notable of which is the 2.0-liter unit. It uses TwinPower technology to ensure acceleration at all points across the rev band and in all gears, delivers 187bhp, and a fuel economy of 52.3mpg (5.4l/100km) on the combined cycle. Inside, cabin materials are subtly upgraded and BMW’s ConnectedDrive driver assistance and infotainment system is available as optional.

McLaren P13, the mid-engined British sports car is set to be officially revealed at the Geneva Motor Show 2014. McLaren P13 will utilise the same 3.8-liter twin-turbocharged V8 currently used by the 12C and P1. However, in P13 specification, it will be slightly detuned to produce 444 hp. By comparison, when fitted inside the 12C it delivers 616 hp and in the P1 it produces over 700 hp.
