Luxury brands focus on Cannes Film Festival
With the occasion of this year’s Cannes Film Festival GUCCI presents its latest project – the restoration of the legendary film “Once Upon a Time in America” bySergio Leone - one of the most important Italian directors remembered for having introduced over the years 60-race spaghetti westerns - which was presented out of competition at Cannes in 1984, starring Robert De Niro, James Woods and Elizabeth McGovern, all expected in Cannes to celebrate the event. Gucci has previously supported the restoration of other movies such as La Dolce Vita byFellini and Visconti’s The Leopard. The restored version curated by the Film Library of Bologna.
French luxury brand MONCLER inaugurated this week its brand new store in Cannes, on the Croisette, a 77 sqm boutique featuring all products lines which was designed by Gilles & Boissier. Other locations in France include: Paris, Chamonix, Megève andCourchevel.
REDValentino (Romantic Excentric Dressing), the younger line of VALENTINO inagurated last week its mobn-brand store in Cannes at 23 Rue du Commandant André, in the proximity of the Croisette. The 70 sqm store features both men and women’s ready to wear and accessories.
On the sixth floor of the Majestic hotel in Cannes, in the Christian Dior suite, actresses come by to get made-up before mounting the Festival Palace’s fabled steps.
