LOUIS VUITTON could operate directly in the Middle East

French giant luxury brand LOUIS VUITTON has gained much of its international success through its extensive directly operated retail network with the exception of India and several countries in the Middle East, situations imposed by local legislation. With some of the major Middle Eastern markets entering a new phase of maturity VUITTON is reportedly considering to directly operate its stores in Kuwait, Qatar and Bahrain starting from Fall 2012. Presently, Vuitton stores in the region are operated in joint venture with UAE based Chalhoub Group.
