L’Occitane SPA expands in India
French premium cosmetics brand L’OCCITANE announced the opening of its first SPA in India at the beginning of next month. The 20.000 sqf SPA is opened at the luxury resort of Devi Garh in the legendary destination of Udaipur. The treatments offered by the new SPA are a fusion of India and Mediterranean, mixing fresh plants and flowers which are picked in the gardens of the hotel. The Devi SPA by L’Occitane has coupled the massages, wraps and scrubs with yoga and meditation. The L’Occitane SPA is operated by a local franchisee which plans to open two new locations this year at Devi Ratn Resort and Rasa Resort.
L’Occitane is listed on the Hong Kong stock exchange and its production facilities and headquarters are located in Provence in the South of France. While the brand has a huge number of retail locations, it is yet to develop its SPA business. It already operates three SPAs, one in Paris, one in Hong Kong and one in South of France.
