Le Bristol Paris’ hosts exceptional literary prize The ‘Prix Bristol des Lumières’

Leading luxury Parisian hotel, Le Bristol, owned and operated by Oetker Collection is hosting its exceptional yearly literary prize, the ‘Prix Bristol des Lumières’ : understanding the times and defending one’s ideas. Although there are many literary prizes for fiction, far less are intended to reward essays and ideas.

Every year, the Prix Bristol des Lumières celebrates the author of a philosophical, political or social essay written in French. The award-winning work must promote a new and even polemical idea concerning the present times, in keeping with the critical spirit, liberty and humanism of the 18th century.

Forthcoming meetings:

2nd December 2014 the three finalists will be announced

20th January 2015 – public deliberation of the jury on the occasion of a special edition entitled Du Grain à moudre, a programme produced and presented by Hervé Gardette, on France Culture
