Land Rover unveils most expensive SUV ever made
Recently unveiled at the New York Auto Show the $199,495 Land Rover SV Autobiography is presently the world’s most expensive SUV. The 2016 ‘SV’ has a five liter V8 supercharged engine, made from aluminum, that not only produces 493 hp, but also 680 nm of torque.
This, combined with a smooth and sophisticated ZF eight-speed automatic transmission, blends performance, in-gear flexibility and refinement. the production series is available with a choice of other powertrains, including; TDV6, the CO2-lowering SDV6 hybrid, SDv8 and SCV6 supercharged derivative. Beyond raw power, other features include a beverage chiller compartment, powered deployable tables and a deep twist pile mohair carpet.
The “Autobiography” option is typically reserved for Land Rover’s highest class of vehicle, and the 2016 version of the SV Autobiography costs $12,000 more than the Autobiography Black model, which it now replaces.
