Kering Group to sell Sergio Rossi

According to Italian media, Kering Group (former PPR) has appointed Mediobanca for the sale of luxury Italian shoemaker Sergio Rossi, house which it had acquired back in 2000. Sergio Rossi which founded in 1966 registered a turnover of 70 million euros in 2012 and had a number of 55 mono-brand boutiques worldwide, of which at least half in franchising. Kering appears to have resorted to the sale of Sergio Rossi, following several attempts to reposition the brand, which has been among the slowest in terms of growth within the Kering Group which also includes Gucci, Bottega Veneta, Brioni, Boucheron etc.
