KEMPINSKI expands in Russia
German five star chain KEMPINSKI announced a major expansion plan for Russia, its second property after Moscow will be opened in Ekaterinburg by 2012. The 200-room Kempinski Hotel Ekaterinburg will be followed by properties in the cities of Nizhny Novgorod, Rostov-on-Don and Novosibirsk. All hotels are managed by Kempinski while they are independently owned.
The 24-storey hotel in Ekaterinburg will feature four restaurants and bars, a ballroom, and a 1,000sqm spa with swimming pool, fitness centre and sauna complex.
