Jaeger-LeCoultre Pro-Am Cup Monaco, an exceptional jumping event

The International Jumping of Monte Carlo takes a new dimension :  Jaeger-LeCoultre, the reference in Swiss fine watchmaking, becomes the  official sponsor and time-keeper of the tournament on June 29th,  entitled “Jaeger-LeCoultre Pro-Am Cup Monaco”.

A competition gathered 17 teams each including one professional rider and one amateur rider, competing on a specific course made by the course designer of the International  Jumping of Monte-Carlo.

Charlotte Casiraghi is the patron of this show and competes in this Cup together with Edwina Tops-Alexander, a long-time friend of Jaeger-LeCoultre. From 2009, Edwina-Tops  Alexander is the highest ranked female rider. In 2009 and 2011, she won  the prestigious Global Champions Tour with her legendary horse Itot du  Chateau. Currently ranked No. 10 rider in the world and the world’s No1  female rider, she has also been the first rider in the history of the  Global Champions. Edwina Tops-Alexander is a friend of Jaeger-LeCoultre  wearing the brand’s iconic Reverso watch.

United Arab Emirates leading rider Sheikh Shakhboot Bin Nahayan Al Nahayan competes in the Cup as Jaeger-Le Coultre team alongside Jane Davies, an amateur  UK rider. Jaeger-LeCoultre is proud to be represented by this excellent  team and wishes the riders the best of luck for the Tournament.

Jaeger-LeCoultre Pro-Am Cup Monaco (jumping)

Just after the course walk, Jaeger-LeCoultre Pro-Am Cup Monaco will start with amateur riders, with a 1m30 course. Then, it’s the  professional riders turn, with a 1m50 course. Therefore, each rider  jumps one round and the cumulative result of both riders in the team is  taken into account.

This competition that links professional and amateur riders emphasizes the family spirit of this sport. Before the Grand Prix on Saturday, the Jaeger-LeCoultre Pro-Am Cup will surprise and delight its spectators. It will definitely be a highlight  of this 2012 edition of the  International Jumping of Monte-Carlo.
