French fashion house Marithé & François Girbaud, under bankruptcy procedure since May 10, has announced the signing of a worldwide master licensing agreement with Indian giant FFI (Fibres & Fabrics International). The licensing agreement covers production and wholesale distribution (multi-brand franchisees) worldwide, for a duration of 15 years, except for countries where a licensing agreement is underway.

“Under the agreement, the company FFI, led by Anupam Kothari and headquartered in Bangalore, will provide 40 million euros of production and industrial activity for Marithe + Francois Girbaud,” the statement said. The press release also states that the designer lines of the house will continue to be produced in Italy.
