Hugo Boss launches Smart Classic smartwatches

Hugo Boss launches its first collection Smart Classic smartwatches, under the BOSS Watches brand. Available in two mens styles of a stainless steel or rose gold dial, both have crocodile leather straps and will cost €350 when they go on sale in September.

HP is behind the tech as part of its partnership with Boss Watches licensee Movado. There’s also vibrations for smartphone alerts and messages plus basic activity tracking, tracked via a dedicated Hugo Boss Smart Watch app.

Hugo Boss smartwatches which have digital display were teased at Baselworld, after HP and Movado announced a partnership to bring connected features to high end watches from Hugo Boss as well as brands like Tommy Hilfiger, Coach and Lacoste.

In terms of design, it’s classic Hugo Boss styling with contrasting colours and round, black dials on the watch face. There’s no official word on battery life apart from the fact that the Smart Classic watches’ analogue movements will still tell the time when the smartwatch functionality runs out of power.

The new watches will be available in Hugo Boss and Ernest Jones stores in the UK when they go on sale at the end of the summer.
