Hotel San Cristobal opens in Baja California

Facing the expanse of the pacific ocean, Hotel San Cristobal is first foreign outpost of Bunkouse, an Austin-based boutique hotel chain, and features just 32 rooms and suites, all situated around a central pool and lounge area, in addition to a library, a seaside mirador, and a small shop. the rooms of Hotel San Cristóbal come in four categories, each furnished in a contemporary style with local touches, and a set of amenities that effortlessly meet the standards of today’s savvy traveller, including super comfy Coco-Mat mattresses, custom Sferra linens, (malin+goetz) bath products, both air-conditioning and ceiling fans, and complimentary wifi.

Adding to the sense of total relaxation vibe is Benno, an informal dining spot helmed by Chef Edgar Palau where next to breakfast, classic mexican and mediterranean fare is served that builds on the diverse culinary abundance of the Baja California Peninsula. Dishes are supplemented by a wine programme that focuses on supporting vignerons that farm sustainably, with a special emphasis on organic and biodynamic wines. Hotel San Cristóbal pitches in on the fun vibe with a programme of events related to music, culture and wellness.
