Hermes reports 10,3% sales increase in the first quarter 2013
After record financial results in 2012 with a turnover of 3,484 billion euros, French luxury house of Hermes reports a sales increase of 10,3 percent to a value of 856,8 million euros, in the first quarter of 2013, to 31 March. Asia Pacific has been the best performing region for Hermes, with sales growth of 17% in China, Taiwan and Macau, followed by Japan (+7%).
Hermes sales in Europe were strong too, with a 12% increase, as well as in the U.S. (+11%). Jewellery and homewear were Hermes’ product categories with the highest growth in the first quarter of 2013 (+49%), followed by ready to wear and accessories (+18%).
