HERMES posts 10% increase in third quarter 2009
HERMES reported this week a 10% sales growth in the third quarter of 2009, thus exceeding expectations. As previously reported throughout the year, the positive results are mainly due to the improving sales within the directly operated stores network. Sales for the leather accessories division have grown by 17,2 %, demand for Kelly bags and similar leather products being particularly strong. However, the turnover for the watches and homewear divisions has been decreasing.
