HERMES expect record financial results in 2011
Sales at luxury French house Hermès jumped 22% in the first half of 2011, in comparison with the same period last year, especially due to excellent results in the U.S. and China. Total revenues reached 1,3 billion euros, exceeding the 1,28 billion euros figure estimated by analysts. Sales of Hermes grew even in Japan, deeply affected by the earthquake, by 5,6% in the first half of 2011, compared to the same period last year.
Sales in France rose by 20,8%, thanks to the newly opened flagship in Rue Sevres in Paris. Overall sales for the entire 2011 are expected to grow by 12 to 14% in comparison with 2010, which registered an absolute record of 2,4 billion euros.
